Helena Bonham Carter Had a Baby

Posted on 18 December 2007 by LJ

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton

Everyone is having babies! I’m way late but I guess last Wednesday the 12th Helena Bonham Carter and her freaky Director husband Tim Burton welcomed their baby girl into the world. This is the second for the couple, they also have a 4-year-old son.

Not to be rude, but, you’ve all seen these two right (look up)? Helena can be a knock out but generally makes herself up to be a bit of an odd ball, and Tim Burton? Need I say more? I’m just saying, I don’t know how these two can possible reproduce. I bet the baby looks like a troll doll with scissors for hands and already dressed in rag clothes, and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Helena was pregnant during the filming of Sweeny Todd. You know they shoot those movies out of sequence so can you imagine her body changing back and fourth throughout the whole thing? She even joked about it, “The first half of filming I wasn’t pregnant, and the second half I was, and because we didn’t shoot it in order, I start off with huge breasts and then I walk upstairs and suddenly I’ve got tangerines again. It’s melons to tangerines!”

Mom and baby are doing great and Tim Burton is creating new ways to freak his little one out.

NOTE: This new baby is no where near as cute as my little nephew Boston. No one is. Sorry world, thems the breaks. I just wrote this story to be nice. Awe.

I’m sure their baby looks fine, and who cares anyway it’s a baby they’re all cute and people who say they aren’t must be pretty insecure to have to mock an infant about it’s appearance!

  2. LJ Says:

Hi Alisa. Just a suggestion. When reading this blog it’s a good idea to check your stick, no matter where it might be, at the door! *wink*

  3. Alissa Says:

thats really obnoxious for you to say, Because im sure your so fantastic looking to be saying bad things about good people. That just pisses me off. You’re Superficial and its really disturbing that you can so easily criticize the infants appearence.

  4. LJ Says:

Alissa Ailsa, it’s called a joke. It’s called sarcasm. Have you ever seen Tim Burton? Have you ever seen any of his movies? Freaky stuff going on there. Do you actually think I have an opinion on this babies looks? Of course not. But it’s a joke, and for some reason you are still reading, but obviously not close enough to see that I make fun of myself all the time. Why just this week I called myself an ugly old hag on the Worst Dressed of 2007.

Come on my child stop letting people pee in your cheerios.

  5. Jackie Says:

Hm, i agree with Alissa and Ailsa. And i dont find your ‘joke’ very funny. I have seen like almost all of Tim burtons movies and they are amazing. and helena’s acting is also amazing. but just becasue tim and helena are different doesn’t make it alright to mock them and make jokes. especailly about their baby. geeze. i really dislike all you people that can’t accept anything that is a little bit different.

  6. LJ Says:

    Ladies…get over it.

  7. Charlie Says:

LJ didn’t actually insult the new Burton baby. All that was said was that the baby wasn’t as cute as LJ’s nephew. Which is fair enough. Everyone is biased when it comes to their own family. LJ said no baby is as cute as Boston right? I bet you pretty much everyone has said the same thing. I bet you your parents said you were the cutest babies in the world - does that insult other babies? Or just show a sense of your parents pride in you?

  8. OLD NAI Says:

    i’m a girl from china

    love helena so much

  9. Sammmeey Says:

Charlie, no he might not have said it directly that he thought the baby was ugly, but he did insult the parents, whether you admit it or not! he did.
So what if, Helena and Tim are a bit off, and dress a little funny. Their both amazing people.
Helena is my favorite actress. Because she’s amazing. Why does she have to look good? hm exactly she doesn’t.
And Tim, well his movies a great, not a big fan. But why does how he dresses have to do with anything? God some people are retards.
No offence, it’s not a joke when you insult someone, it might be funny to you, but posting it on the internet is something eles.
CONGRATS, TO THE NEW BABY! =).
But I’m gunna, cause I have no idea how I got here in the first place.

  10. LJ Says:

First, I’m a chick. Second, I think Helena is beautiful and a great actress. Third, I think Tim Burton makes some great movies.

It was a joke, stop being so butt hurt over it.

  11. Mill Says:

    Hi OLD NAI.
    I’m a girl from Australia.

I like tim and helena and Johnny.

I also love how discussion boards can become ways for people to vent their silly complaints in life.

  12. Andrea Says:

i think helena is amazing she is my idol and my fav actress. i admire her sense of style and everything about her and anyone who mocks her or makes jokes about her or anyone she is close to are complete idiots and should keep their comments to themselves.
oh and i’m sure their new baby is adorable and no one should make fun of an infant. that is probably the rudest thing i’ve ever heard!

  13. Johnny/tim fan Says:

Wow…that had to be the most rude article thingee I have ever read… YOU DON’T KNOW THEM SO KEEP YOUR NASTY COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!! I cant stand people who are just not very nice … espesially about people they don’t know… The main thing is that they are in love, mk? The last thing they need is someone complaining and getting into their buisness! LOVE is the key to happiness (I think) and most people don’t care about other peoples apperance…!! I still cannot beleive someone would say that, after they work hard to make movies for you guys! Jeez people give them a break!! It’s none of your buisness! SHUT UP! Who agrees? Leave a reply and be against this! BYE!

P.S. I think that they are both beautiful people (and from what I can TELL they are nice people as well) … unlike you (whoever wrote this)… CAPEESH?

  14. LJ Says:

The bottom line here people, is that you all need to take a chill pill. Helena Bonham Carter and Tin Burton are entertainers, they are celebrities, they put themselves out there to be talked about. I talked about them. I made a joke. A tiny little joke.

Do I really think their look is eccentric? Yes. Do I really have a problem with it? No. It was a joke. I happen to think Carter is a great actress and can be very pretty. Do I really think their baby is weird looking? No, though I’ve yet to see it. IT’S A JOKE.

Do you guys think they actually care what some nobody jokes about on her stupid little blog? The answer is, they will never read it or hear about it and even if they did, they probably wouldn’t care.

I don’t know if you guys think you are best friends with them or something, but you don’t know them, I don’t know them and they don’t know us. They don’t selflessly make their movies just for me. They make them for themselves for the art of it and for the money and probably because they like entertaining so don’t act like they are falling on their sword for the general public or something as your case to try and block my freedom of speech.

It’s a joke, who the hell really cares?

  15. tori Says:

I bet their baby is as beautiful as Helena is. No im not a lesbo but i think helena is drop dead gorgeous

  16. Andrea Says:

Thank you johnny!!!!! and even if this was a joke it was still rude and should not have been said. if this is the kind of jokes you like to make than you ar a HEARTLESS person.

that is NOT the kind of “joke” people like to hear. and it’s certainly not funny. i have no idea how this was even the slightest bit funny.

  17. Dr. Acula Says:

Did Johnny really sign out with Capeesh? Dude, who are you Johnny Carino? If you are, your restaurant sucks. Oh, and I would lose the phrase “capeesh.” I find this post amazing, since it seems to have worked up so many people. If you actually read the article with an un-biased state of mind you will find it was totally written with much more than a hint of sarcastic humor. The fact is, the author thought she would bring you some news with a flair. Some of you have taken this way too seriously, but think of these possible self realizations that you can thank her for.

    1. You just realized you don’t have a sense of humor and should immediately enroll yourself in joke school.

    2. The reason you have walked so awkwardly your whole life turns out to be a stick up your butt. It’s not too late to remove it and join a more laid back lifestyle.

    3. You realize you can find another woman drop dead gorgeous and still not be a lesbian, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking of the two of you together in my own fantasy. Thank you Tori for that wonderful moment. I will always think of you fondly.

Ok that last one didn’t quite go where I originally intended. The point is…who said troll doll babies with scissor hands are ugly or not cute? The author didn’t! Many of YOU made that assumption because YOU all have judgingly decided troll doll babies with scissor hands MUST be ugly! Wow! I am surprised that so many of you are so apt to forget the realization that you have just shown yourselves as slaves to society’s perception that only a non-troll doll baby with regular old hands is the only kind of baby that could possibly be cute. Shame on all of you!!! booooooooo! BOOOOOO!!!

P.S. OJ totally did it and this post was totally the slightest bit funny and if you don’t think so…No Joke For You! (get it?…I’m the joke nazi. eh..you probably didn’t get it never mind.)

  18. Emilia Says:

Wow…it amazes me that people get so worked up about little ridiculous things. I absolutely love Helena and Tim, but I still thought the article was funny. You have to admit…they are pretty eccentric(which is part of the reason I love them so!) And Dr. Acula is right–you guys are the ones that freaked and were like “omg! baby hater! she is a heartless cold person! troll babies are ugly” Get over it. What I really have a problem with is how she exercised her right to freedom of speech, made a little joke, and everyone jumped her ass about the comments she made.

Soooooo…its totally not ok for her to make a joke, but its ok for you guys to judge her and call her heartless, rude, idiotic, obnoxious, superficial, disturbing, and insecure? And express direct dislike for her? And mock her own looks?

And Sammmeey, your use of the word retard is in my opinion ten times more offense than anything in this article. despite taking offense to this article, in your mind its ok to use the condition of a mentally handicapped individual as a offensive insult against someone?

Johnny, YOU don’t know the author, so keep YOUR nasty comments to YOURself. Capiche?

  19. Dr. Acula Says:

Emilia…I love you for saying capiche.

  20. Abbiii Says:

Helena’s beautiful. I’d love to look like her.

And yes, I get the sarcasm. Seriously, I use it so much in everyday life that it’s more than easy for me to detect.

Emilia - You are so right. Had to let you know.

I really enjoyed this article, and the comments made it oh-so much better. I must say well done to the author for creating a wonderful article, plus personally replying to others comments. And the way you replied, your a girl after my own heart.

The fact that this article created so much controversial [sp?] oppinion is amazing.

And, may I ask, was it perhaps the film ‘Edward Scissorhands’ to say the troll comment..? I must say, I laughed aloud at that.

My age? Eleven. But quite mature.

    ^ Well, when I wanna be. ^
