After getting a comment from my In-N-Out Urge post from reader Rick, since it was so long ago and I don’t want it to get lost in the rubble I thought I’d post it again here and elaborate.

Rick said “They’re getting sued! Ah hah hah hah hah hah hah!!!! How dare they sully the In-N-Out name??? Chadders will pay dearly.”

It’s not the best way to be greeted home after a long vacation; going to a new knock-off of your favorite greasy burger joint to get a Chaddars burger and fries only to have it closed and getting painted. Rick is right. Chadders is getting sued by In-N-Out.

Apparently the knock-off-ness was brought to In-N-Out’s attention when stupid people like me went blabbing all about it and when a local news station did a story solely about the similarities. From what I’ve heard and read the local news station pretty much just laid out the case for In-N-Out prosecutors. Good one guys.

Hopefully this will just result in a paint job and menu tweak but there’s a chance it could be gone for good. I’ll pretend you all care and let you know how it develops. And Rick, thanks for being so on top of it…I guess it’s not a slow news day after all.
