Top 5 Valentines Day Gifts

Whether you are a guy or girl, in a relationship or not, it’s always nice to get or give something to someone on Valentine’s Day, and it sucks rocks if you don’t get anything. But what to give? Don’t be a douche this Valentine’s Day. Get your SO or your best friend (or your secret lover you bastard) a gift, don’t worry I have some suggestions.

Top 5 Valentines Day Gifts

  1. Chocolate. Need I say more? Well I’m going to anyway. The Chocolate Source is one of the best places to get someone special, or even mediocre a gift of yummy goodness. They have boxes of chocolates, bags of chocolates, gift baskets with chocolates and even chocolate bears. They have tons of different sizes and prices to fit anyones budget. Give the Nirvana Liquor Chocolates a try, they are just like their name suggests! Check out these Valentine’s gifts before it’s too late to order online!
  2. Are you guy trying to impress a girl with your sensitive side? Or are you just having a on Valentine’s Day? Either way a movie always does the trick. Here’s one all genders can stomach: Across the Universe is set against the anti-war protests, rock and roll revolution and mind-expanding psychedelia of the 1960s. It follows the arduous journey of star crossed lovers Jude and Lucy as they and a small group of musicians are swept up in the raging waters of the volatile counterculture movement. And all the songs are The Beatles songs that were made popular during that time. If you are in the mood for something else BarnesandNoble.com has tons of movies for ya.
  3. Something that I think is fun and/or romantic do to on Valentine’s Day is cook together. Picture it turning up the heat licking each others fingers…or if you don’t have an SO just cook up a bunch of good food and stuff your face. Whatever the case my be Sur La Table has something to help you do it! With the Sweetheart Baking Pan you can make heart shaped desserts and cupcakes, and you probably won’t even be able to make it to the baking! But if you do, they’re really cute. Sur La Table also has treats and other great Valentines Day gadgets.
  4. It’s always fun to capture memories, but it’s especially fun on Valentine’s Day, and I’m not just talking about baking cupcake photos if you know what I mean. Your SO will have a great time taking all kinds of pics if you get him/her a Sony CyberShot. Just keep this in mind, camera = good fun, video recorder = trouble.
  5. And last but certainly not least, something to go along with your Sony CyberShot, just kidding, or am I? How about a good read, not one you just sit in a corner with, but one that gets you active . . . together! Try the The Cosmo Kama Sutra: 77 Mind-Blowing Sex Positions. It really doesn’t matter who you are, this is something that can be lots of fun for everyone!

And those are my Top 5 Valentine’s Day Gift picks! Hurry, Valentine’s Day is just 8 days away!

Chocolate Cure?

Filed under: Gourmet Foods • Comments: None

I read an article recently at WebMD that was like music to my ears. Wouldn’t it be the same for you if you saw “Chocolate Lowers Blood Pressure”? Now my blood pressure is a little high, add in the fact that I love chocolate and you’ve captured my interest, not to mention the rest of the worlds.

Dark ChocolatesHere’s the run down. Dark chocolate, not milk or white, is rich in the antioxidant called polyphenols. Sounds real scientific huh? Well this is the same helpful compound found in the fruits and vegetables people with high blood pressure are counseled to eat. This source also says “A chocolate treat may be better than green or black tea at keeping high blood pressure in check.” Can you hear the choir of angels too?

The good news is this article by Jennifer Warner wasn’t presenting this as some magical fix, I feel like she was telling us to have dark chocolate in addition to other polyphenol-rich foods, not instead of. And really, who can argue with that?

Why wait? Try these delectable chocolates from Chocolate Source. Right now you can save 10% off on any purchase over $10.00. Feel guilty buying a box of chocolates for yourself? Buy them as a gift for a friend, or if you didn’t take my Mothers Day advice earlier take your mom out to brunch next week and give her these chocolates. Just make sure to invite yourself over so you can enjoy them too!
