Ya know how Britney Spears somehow totally got all messed up these past couple years making one bad mistake over another? Well the apple does fall far from that Spears Family Tree.

Britney Spears little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is pregnant (12 weeks along) at 16 years-old. I guess she got pregnant by her longtime live-in boyfriend Casey Aldridge. You heard me right, a 16 year-old girl has a longtime live-in boyfriend. When I was 16 I was getting my first kiss (don’t make fun) but I guess 16 is the new 25 and apparently middle schoolers and the like are popping babies out all over the place. Now THAT’S a shame.

To add to the sadness of this story, did you know Jamie Lynn Spears has her own show on Nickelodeon called Zoey 101. This means she has a bunch of little girls looking up to her, probably more innocent ones that used to idolize her sister. Nickelodeon issued this statement, “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

Anyway, I know I can be mean but honestly I wish her all the best. Life is going to be tough but she can do it if she acts the exact opposite of her sister. I just pray that everything goes ok for this little girl!
